"The void, the concept of nothingness, is terrifying to most people on the planet. And i get anxiety attacks myself. i know the fear of that void. you haveto learn to die before you die. You give up, surrender to the void, to nothingness.../i just hope there is nothing. Like there was before i was born."
- Harry Dean Stanton, actor (1926-2017)

Anton Terziev’s “Enter the Void – Ox Leather Bianco” deftly fuses the rugged iconography of the motorcycle helmet with the haunting tactility of skin, offering a startling meditation on humanity’s dual desire for both protection and exposure. Fashioned from pale ox leather, its surface is unsettlingly flesh-like, bearing delicate seams that evoke scars or sutures, prompting reflections on the body’s fragility. This womb-like enclosure—simultaneously a shield and a vulnerable shell—bridges biological vulnerability with a symbol of safety, urging viewers to confront the tension between life’s latent delicacy and our instinct to shield it. Through its layered materiality, Terziev’s work transcends a mere sculptural object, becoming a powerful statement on the raw, easily breakable beauty of our own existence.
