Anton Terziev’s Eastern Promises masterfully juxtaposes the raw brutality of a baseball bat—an emblem of criminal violence—with the striking elegance of intricately engraved roses. This tension between threat and beauty lays bare a modern moral crisis, where displays of power increasingly overshadow genuine spiritual and ethical values. By fusing dark humor and delicate craftsmanship, Terziev highlights how society’s preoccupation with force and intimidation obscures our shared humanity, urging the viewer to reflect on the unacknowledged violence lurking beneath the surface of cultural norms.
